So mintd gets bloggy!
We’ve been crazy busy working on the website, and we’re so happy with the response we’ve had! Just take a look at our seller’s products and see how much cool stuff they are putting up into their stores.
Right now we’re really digging caylies La Ave linen+blue clutch. How cool is that?
We hope this blog becomes the place where we can talk with you (minties). Expect to see posts about new functionality, up-coming events and other excitement.

Our Home page now shows random pickings from our products, lookbooks and store. We figured we needed to give more exposure to other interesting items – and not just the top 4 or so. So now, there is a bit more spice to the top page.

Mintd now supports multiple currencies. So you can chop and change your currencies anyway you like it.

We are proud to announce that we have updated the site with the functionality to get SMS alerts to your mobile phone when an order is made for a product of yours.
To get SMS alerts, click on the ‘YOUR STORE’ link in the top right corner and edit your store. Insert your phone number into the SMS Alerts field and you’re done! :-)
We think this will be great for sellers who are on the move and not around their computers all day. But also great for buyers too, as they are always happier to get their purchases ASAP.

The mintd search is now a blistering speed demon.
We have given it a major overhaul and it now searches over content and performs the job much quicker (admitedly, it’s not quite google… yet).
Changes to Interestingness Posted by Supagroova about 1 year ago
We’ve made some changes to Interestingness that have an impact on what items ranking higher than others.
Firstly, to make top ranking items fresher we’ve introduced a depreciating variable based on time since an item was listed. So the newer the item the greater chance it has of ranking higher. We think this will help keep the list fresher, and well… more interesting!
Secondly, we’ve decided not to show sold out items in the Interesting lists. This is mostly because sold-out products take up the space of other products, and don’t really give other potential up-and-comers much of a chance. If a product of your’s isn’t showing, chances are this is why. But don’t worry, you’re product hasn’t been lost! If you add more quantities to it, it’ll popup again right into the list.
Lastly, we have another exciting featured for Interestingness that we think will make it even more interesting. We are planning on introducing the ability to rank your top 3 favourite items which will give them double, triple and quadruple (or something along those lines) interestingness points. We figure you like some items more than others, so why not show it? Should be interesting! ;-)

Mintd seller JennaLou pointed out to me that she has created a group on flickr called Mintd Styles for mintd related stuff.
I know there are heaps of minties putting their work up on flickr too, so now there is a place to put it all together :-)

The HUGE increase in traffic and data has put a couple of dampners on the Mintd party this month, but we’re back, bigger and more stable than ever.
