As some of you know, we have been giving away ‘Pro’ accounts to the first people to open stores. To highlight the advantages, we’re holding a impromptu Best Looking Store contest. The most interesting looking mintd shop win $50 mintd credit, with 3 runners up getting $15 each. Supagroova and I will be judging, but we will also be taking store comments into account.
And just so you know, tastefulness will be high on the criteria (that means you, myspace-bright-pink-fans!)

Marketing reference too vague? Well, we’re giving away AUD$15 mintd credit to the first person to add a LEGITIMATE product to a mintd category that’s currently empty. Its our way to encourage diversity and spice things up. Who judges if a product is legitimate? We do. No tin-can radio’s in Gadgets please. The categories up for grabs are listed below, so if you know someone who makes (or has always wanted to make) one of the following things give them a heads up. Depending on how it goes we’ll add more as the week goes on! Don’t stress if you get beaten to the punch – we’ll definitely consider honourable runners-up. One more Rule: Items must be available for purchase from posting date (not 2010)

This is pretty simple: we want new members, you have friends. Whoever gets the most friends to join up in the month of May will win $500 Mintd credit. How do we know the new members are your friends? Get them to add you as their first contact. Whoever has the most new May members with them as the first contact walks away with the prize.
The Small print: Team Mintd is not totally incompetent. We can work out if someone is sitting in their room making hundreds of account. For a friend to count their account must be ACTIVE i.e. they have to be doing things – shopping, posting, commenting. Cheaters will be laughed at. Loudly. ;-)

For a limited time, Mintd is giving away AUS$5 mintd credit to members who post a Lookbook of their purchased items. To be eligible, your pics must meet the criteria below.
Each new Lookbook will be checked out by Team Mintd and then $5 will be credited to your account to spend on further goodies. If for some reason the photos are not up to par, we’ll contact you about how you might be able to remedy the situation.
“$5! Holy Magnolia! That’s enough to buy another item and repeat the process!”
Yes it is, so get shopping, clicking and posting!
LookBook Criteria
1.The item must be in focus (or artfully out of focus)
2.Eligible lookbooks must have three (3) different pictures.
3.The pictures must be action shots (i.e. jewelry or clothing must be worn and a significant part of both the human and the item must feature, home-wares must be shown in the home with other objects)
4.You can upload as many lookbooks as you like, but you’ll only get $5 credit for each individual product (5 lookbooks of the same product = $5, 1 Lookbook of 5 products = $25)
5.The pictures must be real photos (No photoshopping your necklaces on Angelina)
6.Sellers are welcome to style their own products along with their purchases, but cannot post as a ‘Store Lookbook’, and the rules above apply to the purchased product.
7.Team Mintd’s decision is final.
8. Mintd credit will be allotcated to your account – it expires one month after allocation.
9.We WANT to give you money. All we ask is that some thought and creativity go into the photos, and that no one try and rort the system.

Recently we held a competition in which anyone could enter by adding a Mintd badge or widget to their website, blog, MySpace, etc..
We’ve finally been through the forum thread for those who posted links to their badged sites to check them all and have drawn a winner.
