Our Home page now shows random pickings from our products, lookbooks and store. We figured we needed to give more exposure to other interesting items – and not just the top 4 or so. So now, there is a bit more spice to the top page.

We’d like to welcome all the new Mintd members. Thanks for taking the time to join up and make Mintd something really exciting. We’ve been working on Mintd pretty much full time for over a year now, and I have to say its a massive buzz to see it growing so fast.
A view of things ahead:
- SMS alerts to sellers when they’ve sold something (for all those people who only check their email weekly)
- Improved groups – birds of a feather should flock together
- Advertising – street posters, stickers, web banners, shopping blogs, super-bowl (ok, so no super-bowl)
- New look front page – the world of mintd at your fingertips
- Apple dashboard widget – for you OS X kids out there.
- Editorial lookbooks from high profile stylists – please get in touch if you want your product featured.
and heaps more!
We’re really looking forward to a great year and a whole new world community and commerce. Ultimately, this site is here for you, the user. Please email about your good/bad mintd experience. We want to know!

Marketing reference too vague? Well, we’re giving away AUD$15 mintd credit to the first person to add a LEGITIMATE product to a mintd category that’s currently empty. Its our way to encourage diversity and spice things up. Who judges if a product is legitimate? We do. No tin-can radio’s in Gadgets please. The categories up for grabs are listed below, so if you know someone who makes (or has always wanted to make) one of the following things give them a heads up. Depending on how it goes we’ll add more as the week goes on! Don’t stress if you get beaten to the punch – we’ll definitely consider honourable runners-up. One more Rule: Items must be available for purchase from posting date (not 2010)

Yes friends, i’ts out of control! Hundreds of new products, dozens of new stores; the Mintd hive is buzzing with activity. I guess the main thing to say is that the current bonanza wasn’t the result of a ad campaign on our part, or some cool cover story, but as a direct result from you, the users, spreading the word and telling the world about us. Thank you!
Good news: the system has held up remarkably well under the creaking weight of your collective enthusiasm. Bad News: People are uncovering some dusty little corners that don’t work so good (particularly on IE) and we are busy sorting them out.
Thank you so much to everyone who has joined and crafted a home for themselves here. We are really flattered to have you and will do our best to make your time here as rewarding as possible.
Sales are also at record levels, and its a real buzz for us here to know people are finding things they like.
Please keep blogging your experiences here, and let your friends and associates know about what’s going on. The best is yet to come.

People now appear on the home page.
This is our way of saying thank you to the people who are favoriting, foruming and commenting: you now get your profile (and conveniently, your store) on the front page of mintd, for all to see.
Gone are the goose eggs!
That big fat zero (0) next to new peoples names has been banished to the dustbin of history. Feedback scores are now in stores, where the belong!
Improved profiles
Hyper-linked interests and other goodies are now in your contact information. Finding out who else in into ‘Voltron’ is just a click away…
The postman was sleeping..
There was a couple of days there where new member confirmation e-mails we’re going out due to server software updates (or something boring like that). Thank you to everyone who was patient – further proving Mintazens are some of the nicest people around!

Today we are moving mintd to its very own server, which means BLINDING speed and rock-solid stability.
The site will be down for an hour between 7pm and 8pm AEST Today, May 31st. We would have liked to give you guys a bit more notice (sorry) but SG has worked his magic quicker than even he imagined.

UPDATE: Looks like it will be a little while longer until the new DNS settings kick in, so until then we’ll keep mintd running as normal on it’s current server. :-)

We are looking for a very web-savy someone to help out in our online PR. The job is part time, perhaps something that could be handled in a few hours a week (between making things perhaps!)
The job consists of contacting shopping blogs, adding people on Myspace, inviting interesting sellers and basically spreading the love.
Yes, you can work from home but we would like to meet you face to face at some point, so Australian residents or private jet owners preferred.
I should perhaps also specify that we’re looking for someone who has some experience and has some ideas of their own to get the word out and continue to bring both buyers and sellers to Mintd.

Its dense, to be sure, especially compared with what we’ve had thus far. We’re trying not to over-explain things, but to encourage people to click and explore all that Mintd has to offer.

The new year is well and truly here. Parties have been recovered from, holidays have been returned from, and new years resolutions are lurking in journals, compelling us to get started.

Mintd had a bumper Christmas season, so congratulations to all those who were working like Santa’s elves to fill orders.
