I’ve announced a couple products thru Mindt and have received replies back from several that I’m spamming them. Sorry, did not mean to offend.

It’s a complicated issue – I can see both sides. Promotion = good. Annoying some customers = bad. But if you get a sale… might be worth it?

yeah, i don’t quite understand this feature. it seems a little spammy to me, which is why i chose not to use it. as a buyer or a seller, i personally wouldn’t want to receive these emails.

it would be great if you could disable the receipt of these messages, through your profile or something.

Plus, it’s a scale issue. As mintd grows, it could really become a major PITA. Some sort of subscription option would be nice.

Is the feature limited to people who have been identified as contacts?

I think you can pick and choose who to send it to, however, I am guilty of just selecting “all” of my contacts. Yes, I suppose you are right as Mintd grows it could become a PITA. thanks.

I would opt out of this, if able. I would be LESS likely to add people as my contact or Fav their store if a LOT of people started using this feature :P

I would prefer to RSS a store if i want to know every new item that comes into it than to get a lot of ” Look at this” messages !

Yes, good idea. I will not use the “announce” again, so as not to offend. If someone is interested they will keep checking my store. Thanks everyone! jaymie
