Dinosaur Bone Pendant

This pendant is made from an actual piece of fossilized dinosaur bone! The fossil itself is just over 1 1/8 inch long and 11/16 inch wide (29 mm x 18 mm). The pendant hangs from a sterling silver bail on an 18 inch leather cord. Only dinosaur fossil fragments of no scientific usefulness are used to make cabochons such as the one in this necklace. Fossilized dinosaur bone is usually made of agate; this particular stone is a warm orange red/brown color with a dark grey matrix.
