japanese etch pendant on red silk - sterling silver

This pendant has been made using a panel of sterling silver which I’ve etched with a beautiful and dense Japanese chrysanthemum flower pattern.

The etched areas have been blackened, while the raised silver has been given a brushed but still shiny finish.

Doubled up strands of luscious deep red natural silk thread are used to suspend the pendant. The silk is clasped with handmade sterling silver findings.

The necklace, including the width of the pendant, is approximately 42cm long (16.5"). The pendant itself is 3cm (1.2") wide and 2cm (0.8") tall.

I can change the length of the necklace and may be able to use a different colour of silk thread if you would like an alternative – just ask!
