Moulin Rouge Dexterity Game Necklace

This necklace is a reproduction of a hand held French ‘dexterity game’ from the 1800’s.

I have a collection of these old games and this Moulin Rouge (the red mill) game is my newest find!

I’ve taken artistic liberties in my version. The original game has no pictures, it is just white with the word “Moulin”. The beautiful image I’ve used in my necklace is actually from the game box. The object of this game is to get all the rolling silver balls over the letters “m-o-u-l-i-n”. It can be done! (SEE PHOTO.)

This necklace is made from vintage images, silver balls, hand cut glass, and sterling silver solder. Chain is included. (Chain is not sterling silver.)

All of my items arrive in decorative packaging that would be suitable for giving as a gift.

Aristocratic Dog Dexterity Game Necklace

This dashing gent is a handmade reproduction of an old dexterity game from the 1920’s made into a necklace.

In this game you must roll the silver balls around and try to get all three into the indented circles.

Dexterity games were popular in the Victorian era and this dapper dog must have been a favorite. ( I love his monocle!)

Back of pendant features an adorable old photo of a girl with her jack russel terrier.

This necklace is made from sterling silver solder and hand cut glass. The wirework is sterling silver as well. (Ball chain is included, but is not sterling silver.)

These unique diamond shaped earrings feature two different vintage images of trapeze artists encased under hand cut mica and soldered with sterling silver solder.

The mica keeps these earrings extremely lightweight as well as adding a unique sheen.

The back of these earings have vintage circus images of lions and tigers. You could easily turn these earrings around and have a second pair!

Ear wires are 100% sterling silver.

Retro Rocket Necklace

This necklace features a space scene with a rocket that really flies!

Turn the necklace upside-down and watch the rocket glide across the night sky. This fun retro space scene is enclosed between two pieces of hand cut mica and soldered using sterling silver solder. (Mica is a natural mineral that has an antique sheen to it. It is also very light weight and keeps my pieces from becoming too heavy.) Comes with a ball chain necklace so you can wear it right away. (I use all sterling silver in my work; however this chain is not sterling silver silver.)

Goldilocks Game Necklace

I love collecting old games and these ‘dexterity games’ are among my favorites.

This Goldilocks necklace is made from a vintage game called “Little Goldilocks and the Three Bears, A Pleasing Game”.

In my version of this ‘pleasing game’ you must get all three silver balls into the indented orange circles inside this beautiful old picture.

This necklace is made from sterling silver solder and hand cut glass. The wirework is sterling silver as well. (Ball chain is included, but is not sterling silver.)

Zoltar Fortune Telling Machine Necklace

Remember the Zoltar machine from the movie, “Big”?

They really do exist!

Fortune teller machines were a main attraction at penny arcades in the 1920’s through the 1950’s.The original Zoltar was actually called “Zoltan”. You can see an ad for one of these on the back of this piece.

This Zoltar actually works! Simply ask him for a wish and then open the little drawer on the back to retreive your fortune card. A really fun interactive item to wear.

This piece is made with sterling silver solder and hand cut glass. Zoltar will come filled with fortune cards, plus extra to refill.

Ringtail Cat Dexterity Game Necklace

This necklace is a reproduction of a hand held ‘dexterity game’ from the 1920’s.

The object is to get all three rings on the cat’s tail. (I did it once!)On the back of the necklace is a scoring legend.

I have a collection of these games and just love the graphics. There were many versions of the ringtail cat, my necklace is modeled after one made by the R. Journet & Co.

Punch and Judy Puppet Theater Pin

Now you see them, now you don’t! This handmade pin is a miniature puppet theater with moving parts!

Pull the sterling silver lever on either side of the theater and Punch and Judy disappear behind the curtain. Push the lever and they are back. Jiggle lever and watch them bounce around the stage. The pin backing has two silver rings attached so that it can also be worn as a pendant on a chain. Pin front is handcut mica (not glass) to give an antique look and to keep the final piece light in weight. A truly unique item.

Measures approx. 2 1/2 inches tall and 1 1/2 inches across. Solder used is a Sterling Silver lead free solder.

Hiding inside this colorful striped beach cabana is a vintage bathing beauty dressed in a great ‘swim costume’.

Pull gently on the decorative silver knob on the side of this necklace and the bathing beauty comes out of the cabana. Push the knob and she goes back inside. This necklace is made from sterling silver solder and hand cut glass with this vintage beach scene encased inside. The back features a vintage Coney Island postcard.

Vintage Moving Elevator Necklace

This handmade vintage department store elevator necklace has an elevator that really goes up and down! Simply pull up on the decorative silver knob on the top and the elevator glides up to the next floor.

The adorable elevator operator is actually the Phillip Morris bell boy from the old radio show days. (But he was so adorable I just had to include him.) The back of this two sided pendant is a vintage photo of Macy’s in New York.
