Tees from the hearts and minds of our friends…
Plastic and Milk is less of a company or a charity project and more of an opportunity for self expression without the constraints of being commercial. We want to draw as few boundaries as possible for our contributors, and only ask that they submit something that means something to them and that they are proud of. The less P&M has to do with being commercially viable the better it is, so for that reason we will donate the profits from each tee to the cause of the artists choice, and we will only sell online or perhaps through retailers prepared to stock them with no commission (unlikely).
P&M was inspired by our countless talented friends, as a way for them to get their ideas out, and also as a counter reaction to the reality of the commercial apparel industry and the unsustainable growth they all strive to achieve at the cost of traditional australian values such as lifestyle, individuality and heart.
We see P&M as an organic entity that can grow in any direction or remain as it is now, without profit there is no reliance on growth…every new tee will be radically different from the last so we will never have a “market” and the best thing is we really have nothing to lose and nothing to gain.
