A large brass octopus has been hand-darkened and polished to reveal the exquisite detailing. Jade, carried along the southern silk road, travels to Egypt in this beautiful necklace where ancient cultures meet. Oxidized sterling silver chain is entwined with pale green glass beads accenting an antiqued brass scarab. This beetle, the icon of reverence for the pharaohs, has been given a dark patina and polished to reveal its gorgeous detail. A pale jade faceted briolette dangles from the scarab. All metals used except for the beetle are oxidized sterling silver.
